Keys and parts
There is nothing more discouraging than having a nice telegraph key that needs a few simple parts... but original parts, by themselves, are hard to find. With a little work, our ES paddle will fit almost any bug. And the knobs and springs are handy for most straight keys.
From the owner of a McElroy bug that was missing the knob and had a broken paddle:
"The ... parts arrived today in great shape. I immediately took a paddle to the belt sander, and band saw. Wow.......it looks so original now, I'm amazed. I countersunk the two holding screws and that adds to the original look. When I first saw the paddles, I thought they were going to be too shiny. After I made a template from an original paddle, formed and sanded the edges, and countersunk the holes, it looks great. The knobs worked perfectly. I took the time to bore you with this because I wanted you to know what your work does to help us get keys looking so well again. My 38B Deluxe is near mint, and with the new paddle and knobs, it looks wonderful."

Got my springs and they were perfect for my J-38 that I bought on ebay but had the wrong spring! Seller didn't know it. Now I have the right spring and some extras to boot!
