Tom French

An important reference illustrated with excellent drawings, diagrams and photographs, covering all aspects of radio. Includes principles of transmitting and receiving, spark wireless, vacuum tubes (with early tube specifications) and continuous waves, marine and aircraft radio, and more. The author is the cousin of Dr. Mahlon Loomis "who, in 1865, sent the first aerial telegraph message." For more information regarding the author, see this page.

The cover of Loomis is red and although described as a hardcover, the boards are thin, giving it a somewhat flexible nature.
